OCI wines of distinction is an independent wine merchant run by husband and wife team Rachel and Christophe. The business was founded in 2007 and is run from our premises in the beautiful Berkshire village of Ruscombe. OCI wines of distinction sources and supplies wines from all over the world. Our buying policy is to select wines which offer a great quality to price ratio – wines which reflect the enthusiasm and energy of the winemakers who have made them, rather than the bland, over-processed and dull industrial wines that have taken over today’s supermarket shelves.

We supply the majority of our retail customers through local deliveries or via the monthly Promotions. We also deliver to addresses in the RG and OX post code areas using our own staff and vehicles. Mail order delivery to the rest of the UK is carried out by a reputable carrier using an overnight dispatch service. Local restaurants, pubs, caterers, shops and clubs provide the backbone to our regular wholesale business. Corporate business is very important to us, and growing.

Events such as parties, weddings and balls are catered for on a sale or return basis, with volume discounts and free glass loan available.

OCI’s wine of distinction activities also encompass wine tasting events for wine groups and societies, corporate entertainment, wine-tasting dinners and wine tours. Food and wine matching is a particular speciality.

Donations and Sponsorship

We have a great relationship with many charitable organisations within our local community, supply many of them with wine and run fund-raising events for them. However, we do not sponsor events or give out free wine to companies with which we have no current links, but would be delighted to talk to you about running a tasting where you can raise money and we can hopefully gain lots of new customers!
